Welcome to our Sport Page!

We love our sport here at Cadishead and offer a variety of after school clubs to KS1 and KS2 children.

Clubs that are either running now or have been ran so far this year include;

• Judo
• Dodgeball
• Jag Tag
• Kinball

If your child has an idea for an after school club then feel free to see Mr Metcalfe and we can look to make it happen.

Competitions

Dodgeball – Our 5/6 team won the Irlam and Cadishead cluster.  As a result we went and competed in The Salford Finals.   We came 3rd and received a bronze medal.

Orienteering – Fun competition with children from Year 3.  Please try it at Princes’ Park, Irlam.

Girls Football – Won all games in the Irlam and Cadishead cluster but some schools were unable to enter.  As a result we may need to play additional games to determine who represents the area / cluster at The Salford Finals.   The girls also entered The Primary Stars Tournament at The Cliff.   They played 7.  Scored 14 and conceded 1.   Winning 5, drawing 1 and losing just the 1 match.  Unfortunately, the girls missed out on progressing to the next stage.

Football – We have a large talent pool and group of children that love their football.  As a result we have an A,B and C team.   The teams regularly play league fixtures thanks to our friends at Coachright.   Our A’s sit at the top of the league and are so far undefeated,  The B and C teams rotate and are currently playing with a lot of passion.   The A team also competed at The Primary Stars Tournament and after winning 5 and drawing 2 we discovered it wasn’t quite good enough to progress.
